JAM and Dan in Training: August 2012

. . . saving lives one mile at a time.

In January 2008, I completed my first running event ever, a full marathon with Team in Training. It was my fantastic mom, Phyllis, who inspired me to run for the first time in my life. She lost her battle with leukemia in September of 2007, but she won the ultimate victory - an eternity in Heaven!

Now I am back for another event with Team in Training, once again to do my part to help fund research that will hopefully one day find a cure for leukemia. This time I'm training for a TRIATHLON along with my husband, Dan! If you read back over my blog, you will see that I was never a runner until I began training for a marathon. Well, this is no different. I've never been a swimmer - not even one pool length. So this will truly be a challenge for me!
