Pictures!

As promised, here are some pictures from the after movie party last weekend. Ron Livingston and Michael Sheen are the two main actors from Music Within. HAD to get my picture with them! I'm not savvy enough with this blog to get multiple pictures on a post with corresponding captions, so for now I will have to create a separate post to go with each picture. Sorry about that. If anyone knows the secret (like my friend Hillary . . .) please feel free to share your knowledge with me. : )

Holy Moley! I recognize the guy on the right! I just watched "The Queen" recently, and he played Tony Blair!

You met a celebrity from an Oscar-winning film! Cool!

. . . saving lives one mile at a time.

In January 2008, I completed my first running event ever, a full marathon with Team in Training. It was my fantastic mom, Phyllis, who inspired me to run for the first time in my life. She lost her battle with leukemia in September of 2007, but she won the ultimate victory - an eternity in Heaven!

Now I am back for another event with Team in Training, once again to do my part to help fund research that will hopefully one day find a cure for leukemia. This time I'm training for a TRIATHLON along with my husband, Dan! If you read back over my blog, you will see that I was never a runner until I began training for a marathon. Well, this is no different. I've never been a swimmer - not even one pool length. So this will truly be a challenge for me!

I hope you will check back and read my blog often. I will continue to update this with our progress. Also, I hope you will visit our fundraising websites and join our team in the fight against leukemia and other blood cancers!
